the only reason why we can survive Corona is because our medical knowledge is as advanced as it currently is, otherwise if this pandemic had happened a couple centuries earlier humans would have gone extinct for sure. even worse if it took place during the great wars.

The approximate chance of death by contracting covid-19 in india is .825% of course this is an estimate using questionable data. Another example would be Peru its estimated that 6% of those that contracted covid-19 died. however again the data could be inaccurate as that was weighed against the confirmed cases of covid-19. Anyways I need to get to the point if even the most pessimistic view peru is 6%. Peru also has a very backed up healthcare system and those in rural areas can expect almost no healthcare to be available to them. Taking that into account Id say there is a very good chance that even without great medical knowledge we could have survived covid-19 however many elderly and at risk people would have died.

ok, this is assuming that our medical knowledge is a advanced as it is now. i bet you don't know there was once a time when a simple cold is deadly while our medical practices back then were idiotic. there was a time when drinking radioactive ellements was considered vitamins that's good for you, look up medicine like rathathor it was recomended by doctors a couple hundred years ago until we found out it was radioactive. our medical a practices back then were questionable.

Use critical thinking why did I mention India and Peru? Obviously because they are lacking in both general medical knowledge and mainly in infrastructure. So Without major medical facilities Like those in The US, Canada, UK etc most people survive and even in our history such as the black death in those times you speak of many survived without any medical knowledge.

But keep in mind the virus was going on as early as 2018 and confirmed as early as March 2019 in Spain. It then took China getting infected all the way in November 2019 before anybody even realized there was a new virus going around. Our medical knowledge still has a long way to go. We might have curbed the spread.
